The 5KM -- a sacred ritual of running sameness.
A completely arbitrary distance that has become an equally arbitrary barrier of how far most normal people are willing to push themselves.
It is these arbitrary barriers that ARC PROJECT rejects.
However, the 5km is a supremely accessible idea that reaches millions of people around the world.
In our attempt to indoctrinate the entire world (--to lean into more rich IRL experiences and bring colour to their lives--); it is potent working material.
SO the question: how do we use this MIGHTY concept to evangelise the ARC PROJECT philosophy?
? ? ?
How about seeing whether a normal person could run 24 in a row over 24 hours.
That sounds good.
AP2: 5KM Supreme™ was born.
And so--we found an old cycling track in North London. Accepted 100 people--
--and created an arena to see how far they can push themselves.
Of 100
9 didn't show (important mundanity to attend to) & 3 dropped with injury. Conversely,...
31 completed the entire 24 hours.
76 ran further than they ever had before.
That's 86% of people running further than they ever had before.
ARC PROJECT cinema.
For 24 hours--an old forgotten cycling track in North London--became a theatre of revelation.
Given the right arena--everyday people can push much further than anyone would think is reasonably possible.
In doing so, you deliver people to a personal revelation: that they are capable of so much more than they allowed themselves to believe--
--that life can be so much more colourful than the grey, comfortmaxxing modern world would have us believe.
Through staging a personal rebellion: by leaning into a rich (hard++) IRL experience, it is possible for the modern women&man to peek at this singularity.
And see what life can be: bursting with colour.
That's the future we see if are successful in our mission to indoctrinate the entire world with the ARC PROJECT philosophy.
But..if we are to achieve this ^^ , we must go BIGGER. MUCH BIGGER. And create projects that are so intentionally absurd that they draw millions of viewers around the world.
Challenge accepted. Next up, AP3:_______
Appendix:
We had people write in a book at AP2:
A) once before they started the race B) and once when they finished their race
It became ARC PROJECT'S own Book Of Revelation™.
Some exerts from that book help to illustrate the Arc Project philosophy IRL.
EXHIBIT A:
before: 'If my mind is a house, the goal is to explore rooms I have never before visited.' after: 'The richest experience in my short life. I leave a wiser man.' Finn (19)
EXHIBIT B:

EXHIBIT C:
